Our League & Conference

We proudly compete in the Maryland Student Hockey League (MSHL), an association founded in 1988 that includes over 50 school-based teams located in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Within the MSHL, we play in the Montgomery Hockey Conference (MHC), competing against local rivals like BCC, DC Stars, NWQO, Richard Montgomery, RAM, Sherwood, Upper Montgomery, Whitman, Walter Johnson, Churchill, and Wootton.

Roster Rules & How You Can Help

Because we are a co-operative team, we are constrained by the MSHL rule:

The maximum number of students from one school is fifteen (15). Since the MSHL Co-op Review Board annually reviews all Co-op team proposals, if any Co-op team proposes more than fifteen (15) students from one school on a Co-op program application, the Co-op Board will review the justification for such and determine whether it is acceptable for the upcoming season.

For example, if more than 15 players from Blair sign up, Blair would have to leave the co-op and become a "pure" team, while players from remaining schools would operate as a separate co-op team. The limit does not differentiate between Varsity and JV level play.

As a co-op, we do not cut players, and our management team's top goal is to preserve the co-op. You can help us keep our Blazers family together by indicating your interest early! When we know who is playing ahead of time, we can plan effectively and keep our co-op strong.
