Season Overview

• Date: Late March through May (8 - 10 weeks). No games are played during spring break.
• Location: All games are held at Rockville Ice Arena.
• Practices: There are NO practices during the spring season. Games only!
• Games: At least 9 games total, plus playoffs for the top 4 teams.
• Expect 1 to 2 games per week.
• Players must play in a minimum of 4-5 games to qualify for playoffs.
• Game Times: Games can start as early as 3:45 PM (right after school) or later in the evening (usually no later than 9:00 PM).

Attendance & Rules

Flexible Attendance: We know spring is busy with other sports, school programs, and jobs! Players are not expected to make every single game, and getting to the rink early can be tough. All we ask is for clear and early communication about your player's availability.

• Non-Checking League: Body checking is strictly prohibited and strongly enforced.
• Slap Shots: Slap shots are allowed.

Registration & Roster Limits

Official registration opens in late February / early March. To sign up, players will need to:

1. Complete the online Rockville Ice Arena Waiver.
2. Complete the Silver Spring Blazers Team Registration Form.

Roster Size & Cost

• Roster Cap: Limited to 20 skaters and 2 goalies.
• Cost: Estimated between $250 - $400 per skater. Final cost depends on the number of registered players.
• Payment: Players must be paid in full in order to be added to the official roster and get on the ice.
